More on the Endowment Fund

The Endowment Fund of the Parish of Kente provides funds to support the charitable purposes of the parish.

It was established in 2008, bringing together a generous bequest with earlier bequests held by the Diocese of Ontario for the Parish of Kente.

Ninety percent of the income of the fund, which is managed by the diocese, is distributed each year to various charitable endeavours chosen by our church.

In the past, these charities have been wide-ranging and have included:

Local initiatives providing food, clothing, and hot meals to the community
Specialized equipment for handicapped youth
Books for children
Snowsuits for children
Christmas hampers and toys

Applications for funding are considered annually in September for distribution of funds before the end of the year.
