The Sacrament of Baptism

Through baptism, a person is made a child of God, becomes a member of Christ’s Body, and is cleansed and reborn in the Spirit. At St. Andrew's, both adults and children are baptized, in the belief that God’s love extends to everyone, regardless of their age. Adult candidates and the parents or guardians of child candidates for baptism must participate in a series of meetings with our priest to prepare for this life-changing sacrament. Usually, the whole community of St. Andrew’s witnesses the baptism and also makes promises to support the child or adult as they join the family of Christ.

Please don’t hesitate to contact the church at (613) 399 1774 if you are interested in making this important step in your faith journey, or in making this decision for your child.
